How to purchase and activate a Delaware E-ZPass
Delaware has two types of accounts: individual and commercial
A commercial account is for
- Those who have a vehicle with more than two axles
- Vehicles with greater than 7,000 lbs. maximum gross weight
- Those who require more than eight (8) transponders per account
- Those who prefer to hold their account in a business name
There is no way to get a commercial account online. You can either mail or fax your application. Go here to access the application that you will Mail to: PO Box 777, Dover, DE 19903-0777 - or - Fax to: (302) 677-7274
You can also pick up an application at the Customer Service Center located at 22-24 West Loockerman St, Dover, DE 19904.
If you need a commercial account you can also call the Customer Service Center at 1-888-397-2773 and they can mail or fax one to you.
An individual E-ZPass Account is for personally owned or leased cars, pickup trucks, vans, motorcycles, SUVs or RVs. With this account you can only have a maximum of eight transponders per account.

After doing these methods above for either account, when you get your transponder, it will already be activated and then you can install it in your vehicle.
